Principal - Cindy Morales
I started working at Power Christian Academy when it first opened its doors in August 2002.  Prior to working here, I worked at Laredo Christian Academy for nineteen years as a kindergarten teacher and in administration, as well.  I have been married to Javier Morales for over thirty years, and we have one darling twenty-five year daughter, Dee, currently working on her masters at St. Edward's University in Austin.  I love reading, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.   I enjoy working with children of all ages - from pre-schoolers to high schoolers.  I privately tutor upper-level math and English courses to high school and college-aged students and teach Children's Church at Dunamis Ministries.   I consider myself a very blessed woman simply because I serve the Living God.

Secretary - Delia Serna
I worked for LISD for thirty-two years and am now retired.  I always had a passion to work for the Lord, and I am now fulfilling my dream of working full-time for the ministry.  I thank God, primarily, as well as Pastor Adria Acevedo, for allowing me this opportunity.  I love the Lord with all my heart.  The 2017 - 2018 school year will be my eighth at PCA as their secretary.  This experience has been a tremendous blessing in my life.

 K2 and K3 Teacher  - Bea Schumacher
I started working at Power Christian Academy in August of 2003 and have been serving Dunamis Ministries with Children's Church for more than ten years.  I have been married to Ronnie Schumacher for thirty-six years and we have one amazing adult daughter that has blessed us with four wonderful grandchildren.  I enjoy spending times outdoors - biking, walking, and just enjoying God's wonderful creation - and spending time with my grandchildren that bring so much joy to my life.

K4 - K5 Teacher - Mrs. Helen Trevino
This is my third go-around at Power Christian Academy. I have taught Kindergarten here for a total of thirteen years, and I love working with the young kids.  I am looking forward to working with this particular group - they are amazing little tikes. I am a mother of six kids and a grandmother of thirteen and still don't get enough of their cuteness.

K4-K5 Teacher Assistant -Miss Almanza

This is my second year as PCA's Pre K teacher assistant. I am privileged and honored to be able to teach at this amazing school. I  am a local girl whose passion is teaching and taking care of children. I believe that God has something special for all of us this school year.  Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these."

1st and 2nd Grade Teacher - Kathleen Gabelman
This is my twelfth year teaching at Power Christian Academy. It is a blessing to be a part of the PCA staff. I enjoy my job, and I absolutely love the children. My family came from Colorado to Laredo in 2004 to work as missionaries with Victorious Christian Harvesters. We minister in Mexico, El Salvador and Cuba. It was a big change for all of us but continues to be a wonderful adventure with God. He is Faithful! Bob and I have five children: Jared, Shiloh, Nathan, Angela and Hannah and six grandchildren.

3rd & 4th Grade Teacher - Alicia Castillo
It has been such a blessing to be a part of this school family.  I really enjoy working with children of all ages and believe they are all unique and have different talents to serve the Lord. I graduated in 2010 from TAMIU with a Bachelor's Degree in Bilingual Education.  I am the Youth Coordinator at my church.  I love spending time with my youth group, my family, and doing arts and crafts at home. I look forward to a memorable, exciting, and fun school year! "Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity."  Titus 2:7

Middle School Teacher (5th - 7th) - Adriana Ibarra
This is my second year teaching at Power Christian Academy.  I am looking forward to the new experience I will encounter this year.  I am a member of Dunamis Ministries, and I work in the Youth Ministry as a high school teacher and worship leader.  I have a passion to work with the youth and spread the love of Jesus.  I have been doing it for more than four years, and I can honestly say that it has been the best time of my life.  I look forward to teach, encourage, and spread the love of Jesus to your children!

High School Teacher - Xochitl Ramos
High School Social Studies, Bible, BCIS and Speech
I have been here at Power Christian Academy for fourteen years.  It has been a blessing from the Lord to be a part of this school family.  The students are a joy in my life, and I love spending time with them.  I have been a Laredoan for the last twenty-seven years; I am originally from Nebraska. I have been married for twenty-three years and have an amazing son, Joseph, that fills my life with love, happiness, and adventure. I am also a teacher of Children's Church at Dunamis Ministries.

High School Teacher - Emil Acevedo

Middle and High School Teacher - Irelis Santiago
I have been working for PCA for the last 3 years, first as a computer teacher and now as a Science teacher.  I am a full time minister in Dunamis Ministries where I direct both the Children's and Fine Arts Ministry.  Before working here, I was a professor of the Facuty of Natural Sciences at Atlantic University in Puerto Rico.  This drastic change was all due to God's mercy, grace and unmeasurable love.  Every day is a gift that I never take for granted, as I have the honor and privilege to serve others with everything I do and strive to make a difference in the lives of those around me only through the power of His love - never my own doing.  I am passionate about life, the lives of our generations and my hope is to able to show this generation Jesus and his unfailing love and prove to them that science is actually fun and necessary.

Luis Angel Perez - Computer Lab Teacher (1st-7th grade)
This will be my first year teaching at Power Christian Academy. I will be teaching computer classes to our first through seventh grade students. I am very excited for this new school year and feel blessed to be a part of such wonderful team of educators. Thank you, Pastor Adria Luz Acevedo, for giving me this opportunity to serve.
